Hmmm

I heard today that there is now a restriction on how much rice we can purchase at the store. What? RICE. Does this not amaze you? Did you not think- wait- where does this blog originate from? Africa? Thailand? No- down home USA. Back porch America – the South, baby. They made a statement on the radio this morning that there would be a restriction on bulk bags of long grain rice- something like- you can’t purchase more than two 20 lb bags. Now mind you- I’m not a big rice eater- we eat our share of it I’m sure, but we don’t buy in bulk or anything. It is just the fact that here in America where we have as much of anything we ever want- we are now restricted on the purchase of a food item.

Revelation 6:6 “Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying “A quart of wheat for a day’s wages, and three quarts of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!”

It’s written that there will come a day when it will take all we make in a day to buy a bag of grain. Who would think it would be possible in this day of technological marvel? We can be anywhere in the world when we are on the internet- and yet in our towns right now- we can’t buy rice in bulk. Something to think about.
